Celebrations

  • The Tuscaloosa Public Library’s newsletter, Cover to Cover, reported over 700 people came into the library on the day of our Twig cosponsored author event last month and they have received very good patron feedback about our day.
  • Congratulations to Beverly Thorn who has more than 2000 people signed up for her Roads Scholar on-line presentation focused on dementia on 2/5/26.
  • Look at all the TWIG authors chosen for inclusion by Barnes & Noble, Tuscaloosa in their local/regional display!

Community Activities

  • Gregory N. Whitis has begun the Stable Café Book Club which meets at the Stable, 1120 Main Street,  
  • Greensboro, Alabama on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM-12:00 noon.
  • Beverly Thorn will offer a free class through OLLI, University of Alabama, on 2/17 and 2/24 titled, “Dementia, Dementia Caregiving and Care for the Caregiver. 10:30 AM -11:45 AM.
  • TK Cassidy will offer reading and discussion on 2/12 in Montana at Grizzly Park Independent Living and on 2/14 at Clark Fork Riverside Independent Living. 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM both events.
  • Jennifer Horne continues to offer her mid-week poetry break on her Facebook feed.
