Community Activities

  1. John Ryland has released a short story/poetry anthology under his imprint, written and edited by six high school students from Hueytown High School. This compilation was created under the guidance of John and has allowed students to experience the entire author experience. The Ballad of Saints and Sinners: A Mixed Anthology.
  2. Beverly Thorn will offer the class, “Dementia, Dementia Caregiving and Care for the Caregiver” through Osher Lifelong Learning Center (University of Alabama campus) on October 7, 14, 21, and 28th, from 10:30-11:45.
  3. Emily Walls Ray is offering an eight-week class, “Memoir Writing” at The Shepherd Center of Richmond’s (Virginia) Open University.
  4. Jennifer Horne continues to offer a weekly poetry break on her FB page.
  5. Carolyn Breckinridge continues to volunteer lining up regional authors for the monthly (2nd Tuesday of every month) Hometown Writers Spotlight through the Tuscaloosa Public Library, 5:30-7:00 PM.
