Bell has been writing for over twenty-one years, and although not yet published he’s had a life-long passion for writing. He started writing in late December of 2003, one month after the death of his wonderful mother who helped to inspire his writing and series.

In the late summer of 2021, he created the Kelly Family series in which he took his two main characters from his original story written in late 2003, transitioning them into the series. Since 2021 Bell has written over fifty stories from this series about the Kelly ranching family in Texas, as well as their relatives in Tennessee. Drew Kelly in Texas and Patrick Kelly in Tennessee are the main characters. Bell also has historical stories about the Kelly Family in major historical events, which include: The War for Texas Independence, an ancestor who was a legendary Texas Sheriff who took down a violent outlaw gang, and an ancestor who was a Titanic survivor.

Faith, humanitarianism, family, and tradition are the core values of this series. Bell hopes and prays to be able to share many more stories from the series for the remainder of his years on earth.
